On 28 June 2012, Kyiv Sculpture Project announced the winners nominated for the first international festival of contemporary sculpture.

 

The winners has been chosen by the International Jury, competent art-experts, which consists of Dr. Helen Pheby: Curator, Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Co-curator of the Kyiv Sculpture Project 2012 (Great Britain); Mikhail Reva: sculptor, Meritorious artist of Ukraine, Professor of the International Academy of Architecture(Ukraine); Melissa Hamnett: Curator of Sculpture, the Victoria & Albert Museum (Great Britain); Sui Jianguo: sculptor and participant of the Special Project 2012 (China) and Kateryna Taylor: Curator, Kyiv Sculpture Project 2012 (Ukraine).

 

15 artists are coming from 6 countries: Ukraine, Russia, Britain, the Netherlands, Australia and Poland competed for the Awards.

 

The Grand Prix of 6.000 euro the jury has been split between two projects: ''Shell'' by Zhanna Kadyrova (Ukraine) and ''Moonstruck'' by Karin van der Molen (The Netherlands). The winner of the Special Prize of 3000 euro is Stepan Ryabchenko (Ukraine) who presented the project ''Appearance''.

 

Alexey Zolotarev (Ukraine) won in the nomination "The best young Ukrainian sculptor" with the right to visit the studios of the leading British sculptors. The partner and co-curator of the festival Yorkshire Sculpture Park presented the Award to Kateryna Buchatska providing 10 days residency and practice at YSP.

 

The GREVIS group (Ukraine) has been granted by "The People's Choice Award" with the prize of 2000 euro. The voting was an open facebook voting following by the life voting аt the festival site by the visitors.
